Minoan Energy participated in InnoDays 2023, the celebration of innovation held from 24 to 26 November.<\/p>\n
This important event, organized in recent years by the Region of Crete, has become a key institution on the island.<\/p>\n
Academic institutions, research laboratories, collaborative schemes, and innovative companies came together at the Crete International Exhibition Centre in Gouves\u2014not only to present their pioneering solutions to the public, but also to create synergies with neighbouring teams.<\/p>\n
The energy sector had a strong presence, with many groups of researchers and professionals showcasing their products and services. Among them was Minoan Energy, with its entire scientific team available to engage with visitors.<\/p>\n
Of the many activities of the Community, energy production\u2014whether for net\u2011metering or for sale (Solar Pension\/Solar Salary)\u2014attracted perhaps the greatest interest, given the economic circumstances affecting the vast majority of our fellow citizens.<\/p>\n
However, Minoan Energy is not only interested in production, but also in storage, energy saving, and above all, participation\u2014ensuring that all citizens of Crete can take part, with equal opportunities, in harnessing the island\u2019s energy potential.<\/p>\n
Crete\u2019s energy potential includes all available sources: solar, wind, and biomass from agricultural and livestock residues.<\/p>\n
Within the framework of the flagship \u201cCrete Energy Valley\u201d project\u2014funded by European resources and involving Minoan Energy\u2014all these energy sources will be appropriately utilized in four regions of Crete, taking into account each area\u2019s comparative advantages and particularities, in order to provide heating and electricity to homes and public buildings.<\/p>\n
Just days before the project\u2019s official launch, the exhibition offered an excellent opportunity for visitors to our booth to learn about the significance of this highly impactful initiative. Among them were the Regional Governor of Crete, Mr. Stavros Arnaoutakis, a strong supporter of the Community; the Deputy Minister of Development for Research, Technology and Innovation, Mr. Maximos Senetakis, who expressed his intention to support our efforts; and the host, Mayor of Hersonissos, Mr. Zacharias Doxastakis.<\/p>\n
