Its goal is to transform the European Green Deal into a lived experience that touches citizens\u2019 everyday lives, by combining sustainability, aesthetics, and social inclusion.<\/p>\n<p>The project\u2019s kick\u2011off meeting took place on 16\u201317 October in Cyprus. During the meeting, Minoan Energy and six additional partners from Greece, Cyprus, and Bulgaria agreed to work together to create the conditions for exchanging knowledge, experiences, and best practices that will support the sustainable development of local communities.<\/p>\n<p>More specifically, the CITIZEMP project addresses critical gaps identified through research and feedback from stakeholders.<\/p>\n<p>The project aims:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>To addressing municipalities\u2019 limited knowledge regarding community energy initiatives.<\/li>\n<li>To creating platforms for the exchange of knowledge and experiences with practical application.<\/li>\n<li>To strengthening trust through transparent participation and inclusion of citizens.<\/li>\n<li>To developing tailored approaches for each local community.<\/li>\n<li>To implementing specialized citizen\u2011participation methodologies.<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The beneficiaries of the project include:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Local communities &amp; citizens<\/li>\n<li>Local government personnel<\/li>\n<li>Decision\u2011makers in the field of energy efficiency &amp; management<\/li>\n<li>Educators &amp; adult\u2011education staff<\/li>\n<li>Environmental activists &amp; NGOs<\/li>\n<li>Young people<\/li>\n<li>Vulnerable groups<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>The successful implementation of the project is of critical importance, as local communities face the immediate challenge of the energy transition without having the necessary tools and knowledge.
