Ioannis Ntintakis

Ioannis Ntintakis is a member of the Mechanical Engineering Department, Faculty of Engineering, of the Hellenic Mediterranean University since January 2019 on the position of Lecturer. From September 2010 until January 2019 he was a member of the Wood and Furniture Design & Technology Department of Technological Education Institute of Thessaly on the position of Lecturer. Ioannis Ntintakis awarded the title of Industrial Design Engineer at Technological Education Institute of West Macedonia in 2001. He holds a master’s degree (MSc) in Advanced Manufacturing Systems from Kingston University (UK) in 2006. He is a Ph.D. candidate at the Technical University of Crete, School of Production Engineering and Management, his doctoral thesis is titled ‘Topology optimization for Additive Manufacturing’.

He teaches in undergraduate and postgraduate studies in the Department of Mechanical Engineering and in the Department of Wood and Furniture Design & Technology. He is a co-author in two technical books, and he is an author of seventeen articles in journals with judges. From 2001 to 2010 he has professional experience in the R&D departments of several Greek industrial enterprises. His current main research interests are additive manufacturing, lightweight structures, topology optimization, homogenization, industrial design, and CAD / CAM. He is member of Minoan Energy community since 2019.
