The Municipality of Agios Nikolaos, at the meeting of the Municipal Council of 22/2/2023, decided to officially participate as a member of the Minoan Energy Community. This fact fills us with particular satisfaction and faith for the approach of fair and sustainable development for all of Crete, with the energy transition as a pillar.
The cooperation between the Municipality of Agios Nikolaos and the Minoan Energy Community begins with the implementation by our Community of the energy upgrade study for the 2nd Primary School of Agios Nikolaos, at the level of tender documents, completely free of charge for the Municipality. The funding granted by the project Life Local Ownership of Power (Life LOOP), in which Minoan Energy participates.
We sincerely thank the Mayor Mr. Zervo, the Deputy Mayors Mr. Marinos and Mr. Alexakis and the Municipal Council for its particularly honorable decision to support our Community with the participation of the Municipality. We are committed to providing all possible support to achieve a rational and efficient energy transition in the historic Municipality of Crete.
