Visit of the CreteValley Project Officer to Crete

Crete is rapidly evolving into a dynamic hub of innovative energy solutions.

This was clearly demonstrated during the recent visit of the CreteValley project officer and our partners, whom we had the pleasure of welcoming to the project’s intervention areas over the past two days.

The projects being designed are numerous and ambitious: a geothermal system that uses seawater for heating and cooling homes, a wind‑energy production using windmills inspired by the traditional Lassithi windmill, a hybrid photovoltaic‑thermal systems for maximum energy efficiency, and an advanced biomass‑based district heating network capable of serving dozens of homes and municipal facilities

At the same time, powerful digital tools are reinforcing the sustainable energy transition—from shared data platforms and digital system mapping to planning and decision‑support tools.

Yet what truly makes the project stand out is not the technologies themselves, but the collaboration that brings them to life.

CreteValley is a living example of the future of clean energy!
