The Minoan Energy Community, within the framework of the Life Local Ownership Of Power (LifeLOOP) project in which it is a partner, invites municipal staff to participate in a training and information programme on issues related to the energy transition. The aim is to familiarize participants with the institution of Energy Communities and to help them gain the experience needed to establish Municipal Energy Communities capable of developing community‑energy projects.
Through the tools provided by the programme, municipalities will be able to publicly communicate their energy needs—such as support for the energy upgrade of municipal buildings, the development of new projects, or tackling energy poverty through energy communities. In this way, local energy communities will be able to connect with municipalities and offer relevant support, strengthening cooperation between the two sides.
Additionally, through the project partners—particularly the European Federation of Energy Cooperatives REScoop.eu and the European network of municipalities Energy Cities—this training programme offers municipalities the opportunity to showcase and promote, at a European level, their innovative work in supporting community energy.
Upon completion of the programme, participants receive a certificate of attendance.
