Minoan Aroania’s first project successfully connected to the grid
More than 200 of our members now have their own energy for the next 25 years!
On 19 July 2024, HEDNO completed the grid connection of our first project in Western Greece, enabling more than 200 households and small businesses to enjoy their own free energy for the next 25 years.
We extend our warmest thanks to all our members who benefit from the operation of this project, for their cooperation and for the trust with which they honor our Community.
We also warmly thank our member and project contractor, electrical engineer Mr. Georgios Xenakis, for the diligent and excellent construction of the project.
All of us—the board members of all the energy communities within the MINOAN ENERGY group—express our great joy and satisfaction at the successful completion of this major effort, which we accomplished together.
We also invite everyone who believes that, through cooperation and collective action by ordinary citizens, we can harness our country’s natural wealth in a fair, democratic, and inclusive way—while supporting local and regional development—to join us and participate in our upcoming projects, which are already underway.
